Skookum Teams Up with Global Rope Fittings for North American Distribution
August 1, 2023 – Skookum, Inc., an Ulven Company based in Hubbard, Oregon, and Global Rope Fittings GMBH, based in Bad Bentheim, Germany, are excited to announce that Skookum will be the exclusive North American distributor for Global Rope Fittings line of standard and specialty socket products.
Prior to Global Rope Fittings being established in 2010, the founding leadership was instrumental in designing socket products for other known European designs. Drawing from that experience, current Global Rope Fittings designs for socket products are innovative and have improved features over existing products offered around the world. All these products have been proven in the field and meet all recognized quality standards.
With a history going back to 1890, Skookum’s roots are tied to the logging industry in the Northwest. Over the last 130 years, they have extended their reach into other vital markets including maritime, construction, energy, utility, etc. In 1986, Skookum became part of the Ulven family of companies.
